Chicken Gulai


Ingredients
  • Chicken boneless ½ kg
  • Lemon juice 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Red food color few drops
  • Tomato puree 2 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tbsp
  • All spice powder 1 tsp
  • Nutmeg ground ¼ tsp
  • Turmeric 1 tsp
  • Yogurt 250 gm
  • Coriander leaves as required
  • Oil 4 tbsp
  • Chili powder 1 tsp
  • Aluminum foil as required
  • Muslin cloth as required
Method
  • Put 250 gm yogurt in a muslin cloth, hang for few minutes to remove all its water.Now put thick yogurt in a bowl, finely chop ½ kg chicken, marinate with a little salt and 2 tbsp lemon juice.Now add marinated chicken to the yogurt.
  • Add in 2 tbsp tomato puree, few drops of red food color, 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste, chopped coriander leaves, 1 tsp chili powder, 1 tsp turmeric, ¼ tsp nutmeg powder, 1 tsp all spice powder and 1 tbsp coriander powder. Mix well.
  • Cut aluminum foil in 5 inch square pieces, put 2 tbsp of chicken mixture in each foil piece. Fold in round shape.Now roast in a preheated oven on 230 degrees for 8 – 10 minutes. 
  • Now remove aluminum foil. Place chicken in a serving plate, serve with any dip.
